Their 8 week wine course provides a great introduction to wine covering a wide range of topics in their World tour, the 4-week courses provide a deeper insight into a country or specific region, while their Saturday wine course is a great way of just sipping back and tasting over 12 delicious wines. Or try their one evening tastings, there are many to choose from, and as with all of their wine courses - no previous wine knowledge is required.

Since Lancashire Wine School started in 2009 it has concentrated its efforts on its activities in Preston as a good central location to start. It has always been their ambition to stage events in Blackpool and The Fylde Coast and in the last quarter they have staged 3 pilot events in the area.
A Saturday Wine School at The Glendower Hotel in St. Annes, a Wine & Tapas evening at Caffe Dolce on Abingdon St. and finally a Lancashire Beer tasting evening also at Caffe Dolce. These three events were so successful they have now embarked on a full programme of events in strategic partnership with these venues.
They now have 2 further Saturday Wine Schools scheduled on 28th January and 10th March. These days are a real fun day starting with champagne then touring the world of wine tasting all the major grapes from all the major wine producing regions of the world.
At Caffe Dolce they have scheduled their successful 8 Week World of Wine course starting on Wed 10th January. This course gives an in depth view of the world’s wine regions through 8 weekly 2 hour sessions, tasting at least 7 wines each evening. By the end of the course attendees will have tasted over 60 wines !

In addition to these fun courses they offer Internationally recognised wine & spirit exam qualifications.
These exam courses administered by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) are the first step on the ladder to becoming Master of Wine, but even if you don’t have the ambition to go that far they are essential training for anyone working in a restaurant or hotel that values the quality of itsfood and drink offering to its customers.
