Sunny success for Jet2
Bosses at Blackpool Jet2 Holidays say they are "delighted" with how the firm's Blackpool business is performing.
While the resort is basking in the glory of another bumper season, many people are also using the budget airline to fly away to sunnier climes.

Jet2 Holidays launched its Blackpool branch last year, allowing customers to use the airline to book holiday accommodation at the same time as their flights. And it has proved to be a popular venture with thousands of passengers taking the opportunity to book hotels as well as a flight abroad.
The airline has two planes permanently based at Blackpool, as well as a booking agent for Jet2 and offers packages in seven of the locations it flies to from Blackpool International, including Malaga, Alicante, Faro, Jersey, Murcia and Palma .
Steve Heapy, managing director of Jet2 Holidays was in Blackpool this week to see the resort operation.
He said; "I am very impressed with the number of people using the service from Blackpool."
"We are the airport's main carrier and we want to provide the best service we can to our customers. Blackpool is proving a very popular departure point for us."
This year, Blackpool International was one of the only airports in the UK which did well out of the ash cloud with several local airlines, such as Manx2, putting on extra flights as hundreds of others were cancelled across the UK due to the crisis.
